How to Submit an Event to the CPCC Events Calendar

Click on Events in the header of inside.cpcc pages |
Calendar of current month appears |

Click on Submit an Event (left side of page) |
Advisory on contacts and CPCC policies appears |

Read the advisory on contact persons and CPCC policies. Print out the advisory for reference. On the list of contacts, find the name of the person who is responsible for scheduling the venue (location) you have in mind for your event. |

Contact that person by phone or email to reserve the location. |
You establish your identity and a room reservation with scheduler |

Click on Agree |
The blank event database form appears |

Enter data into the onscreen form. Be sure to select one Location. You may designate more than one applicable Category. NOTE: Be sure from previous step that you have a reservation for building name and room. Include building and room number in the Description field. NOTE: In the Contact website field, be sure to enter the complete URL, including the http:// address protocol. For example, enter http://www.cpcc.edu/student_life/ |
Your event data appears on screen as you enter it |

Click on Submit at bottom of data input screen |
A confirmation screen appears. It shows the data you have entered into the record. You may Agree that the data in the record is correct or you may Disagree. |

You may select Disagree |
Your event data remains in the onscreen form. You revise it and Submit again |

You may select Agree
|
The server responds with a screen that includes an Event Reference Code. You need this code to further modify your event data. NOTE: The server will also send your event reference code to an email address you specify. NOTE: Agree means you have sent the event data into the event queue. It will not be published to the live calendar until the room scheduler with whom you have made arrangements releases your event from the queue. When the scheduler makes your event live, it appears in the calendar. |
| 10 | Call or email the room scheduler to let him/her know that you have entered event data in the queue | Room scheduler releases your event from the queue to the live calendar. |

You may revise your event record any time by selecting Modify on the Events Calendar screen and then entering your Event Reference Code. NOTE: Only the room scheduler may remove your event from the live calendar. |
NOTE: Any time you revise your event record, the record goes back into the queue and must be approved again by the scheduler. |
