In the Class Schedule, indicates that a student can register for the class,
in the class.
ICAN
Integrated Counseling and Advisement Network is CPCC's student advisement
management team. The network consists of counselors, academic advisors,
faculty advisors, and peer advisors. Emma Brown coordinates this
program.
IMPACT EVALUATION
Measuring the immediate observable effects of a program that lead to the outcome (sometimes referred to as short-term outcomes).
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUILDING
Central Campus building at the corner of Elizabeth Avenue and
Independence Blvd. Opened in 2004. Opposite the Professional Development
Building.

INSTITUTE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Institute for Entrepreneurship
offers support to those who want to start a small business or those who want help with an existing business. First established as the Small Business Center, the College expanded services and resources to become the Institute for Entrepreneurship. The institute is a partner in the
Small Business Center Network.
Formerly called BizHub, the IE is located on Central Campus in the Hall Professional Development Building, Suite 214.
INSTRUCTIONAL DIVISION
An administrative unit organized around specific disciplines or programs of
studies; e.g., Mathematics Division, Hospitality Division, etc.
INSTRUCTIONAL GROUP
An administrative unit of divisions under a specific dean; e.g., Instructional Development
and Innovation or Harper Campus and Applied Technologies, etc.
INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT
Former name of the College unit now called Learning.
IPEDS
Institutional Post Secondary Data Set is a federal report containing data on
all colleges. It is a comprehensive report giving enrollment, FTE,
faculty salaries, completion rates, library information, etc. With this
information, colleges can compare themselves with like colleges.
