NCACCIA
North Carolina Association of Community College Instructional Administrators is a professional organization.  Many CPCC administrators are members.

NCCCAEA
North Carolina Community College Adult Educators Association, a professional organization for all Corporate and Continuing Education faculty and staff.

NCCCS
North Carolina Community College System consists of 58 community colleges in North Carolina. H. Martin Lancaster is the president. The State Board of Community Colleges is the governing board.

NCHEDS
North Carolina Higher Education Data about enrollment, graduates, financial information, tuition, library, etc.  It is collected annually and published in the Stastical Abstract of Higher Education in North Carolina and in reports at the National Center for Educational Statistics.  (See also IPEDS)

NC LIVE
North Carolina Libraries for Virtual Education is a consortium of UNC libraries, community college libraries, state library, public libraries, and independent college and university libraries. The consortium has made thousands of e-books, electronic journals, newspapers, and magazines accessible to all North Carolinians. The CPCC library makes them available to students, faculty, and staff.

NEIT
New and Expanding Industry is a locally administered statewide program that takes advantage of state funds to offer expertise in analyzing work processes and in providing assistance in developing through customized job training programs. State funds are allocated to the College for partnerships with eligible existing companies that are expanding or to new industries location in N.C. Typically these are companies that create twelve or more new jobs in any one community in the state during a one-year period.

NISOD
National Institute for Staff and Organization Development is a nonprofit consortium of colleges and universities to support excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership.  It is the outreach organization of the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas at Austin.

NON-RESIDENT ALIEN
An umbrella term that refers to any student or employee at CPCC who, for whatever reason, lacks permanent resident status in the United States. Some non-resident aliens are here legally, usually on temporary visas. Others are undocumented, which is misleading because they may actually own documents of some kind but not the kind they need in order to live here.
