TAYLOR HALL
Taylor Hall on Central Campus opened in 1977 and houses the gym, offices, weight room, and classrooms.
It is named for Robert Taylor, member of the first Board of Trustees from
1963-1977.
TECHNICAL SERVICES
The processing unity of the library organization concerned with the
acquisition, classification, cataloging, labeling, binding, and maintenance
of the library collections.
TELECONFERENCE
A meeting between people who link to each other via their telephone or
computers, even though they are geographically apart.
TERRELL BUILDING
Terrell on Central Campus was dedicated in 1968 to house administrative and
counseling offices. Later, two additional floors were added. It
was named for Edgar Terrell, who served on the Board of Trustees from
1963-1979. It is now a faculty office building also housing Information
Technology Services. Address is 1201 Elizabeth Avenue.
TESTS
Tools used in measurement of knowledge, attitude and behavior. Tests and testing are specific to defined circumstances, a period of time, or set of outcomes.
TIER A
State funds earmarked for staff development activities including return to
industry, return to school, participation in profession conferences,
etc. Funds are administered by the Director of Leadership and Staff
Development.
TITLE III
In 2003 CPCC was awarded a five-year
Individual Development Grant ($1.765 million) under the Strengthening
Institutions Program, authorized under Title III, Part A of the Higher
Education Act of 1965. Details.
TOUCHDOWN STATION
A place where mobile or temporarily displaced workers may access
networked computers for short periods of work, maybe standing up, using
email, the network, the Internet, telephones, etc.
TRANSCRIPT
A student's official academic record.
TRANSFERABILITY
The acceptability for credit of a course or program by another college
or university.
TRANSFER PROGRAMS

TRIO
An umbrella term for three federal programs that are part of the Title IV
Higher Education Act of 1963. The College offers all three programs -
Upward Bound, Student Support Services, and Talent Search. These
programs offer academic support to empower first generation, low income, and
disabled students to persist and graduate.

TST
All degree and diploma programs that have to do with Transportation Systems
Technology programs (Automotive, Auto Body, Heavy Equipment, etc.).
TUITION
The amount of money a
student must pay at the time of registration for each hour of academic credit
based on the student’s residency classification.
