Definition: Diversity is the difference among individuals and groups in reference to cultures, ethnicities, disabilities, physicalities, class, gender, age, religion, and educational backgrounds without negativity, denigration, disrespect and/or prejudice.

Vision: The Diversity Committee is the advocate and resource tool for recognition, inclusion, understanding, acceptance, and promotion of Diversity in reference to the members of the CPCC family and community (students, faculty, staff, partners, and visitors).

Charge: The charge of the Diversity Committee is to ensure the College provides a supportive, caring environment for students, employees and guests. The Committee promotes respect for individuals and groups and promotes inclusion in CPCC programs and services. In addition, the Committee reviews the Equal Opportunity Report and serves as a communication link with the College administration regarding diversity issues.
