Conference CORD is a national nonprofit organization providing innovative changes in education to prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. CORD assists educators in secondary schools and colleges through new curricula, teaching strategies, professional development, and partnerships with community leaders, families, and employers. CORD's initiatives include curriculum design, developing new learning tools, delivering professional development, creating applications of educational technology, and conducting educational research and evaluation. National Instituite for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) is the outreach vehicle and service arm to the Community College Leadership Program (CCLP). The CCLP, at The University of Texas at Austin, is a doctoral-level program training community college presidents, vice presidents, and deans for 60 years. More than 15 percent of the nation’s presidents, vice presidents, and deans, as well as a healthy proportion of other college administrators, are UT-CCLP graduates. The National Council for Staff, Program and Organizational Development ( NCSPOD) is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). The mission is to increase institutional vitality by providing professional growth opportunities for members, enabling them to establish, enhance, and/or revitalize staff, program, and organizational development in their organizations. The Teaching Professor Conference: The process of teaching and learning begins with teaching professionals who are committed to teaching that promotes learning. The Teaching Professor Conference 2006 offers teaching professors, faculty development professionals and administrators an excellent opportunity of thought-provoking exploration, discussion and debate. League for Innovation in the Community College is an international organization dedicated to catalyzing the community college movement. We host conferences and institutes, develop Web resources, conduct research, produce publications, provide services, and lead projects and initiatives with our member colleges, corporate partners, and other agencies in our continuing efforts to make a positive difference for students and communities. The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation's community colleges. The Association represents more than 1,100 associate degree-granting institutions and some 10 million students. Formed in 1920, AACC is a national voice for community colleges, which marked their 100th year of service to the nation in 2001. AACC is leading the celebration of the colleges as they provide learning opportunities to their students and communities and the nation. The International Graphic Arts Education Association (IGAEA) is an association of educators in partnership with industry, dedicated to sharing theories, principles, techniques and processes relating to graphic communications and imaging technology. The North Carolina Community College System Website provides links to public agencies, professional associations and non-profit organizations directly involved with North Carolina's Community Colleges, with education, with government and with other closely-related organizations of interest to the community college family. North Carolina Community College Conference Held at the Koury Convention Center, Greensboro, NC. The theme for the conference is the "Wheel of Learning". We fully expect this conference to be our biggest and best ever. This is our first comprehensive conference. Please encourage all of the divisions on your campuses to participate.
