Healthy employees who are feeling well are more effective because they can focus better on their work assignments and their surroundings.  Central Piedmont Community College adheres to a holistic philosophy that encourages complete attention to all phases of a person’s development including social, physical, occupational, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual health.  In order to promote a healthy workplace, the college offers many opportunities to all employees who are committed to self-improvement.  Regular training activities for health include:

  • Stress release workshops
  • Guest speakers from local doctors' speaker bureau
  • Free access to fitness centers for faculty, staff, and students
  • CPR classes
  • First aid classes
  • Gentle yoga classes
  • Nutrition workshops
  • Work/life balance seminars
  • Money management classes
  • Dress for Success seminars

As you review all of the options listed under this tab, remember that as a full-time employee, you are entitled to one free Curriculum or CCE class of your choice every semester. To view the form for registration in an CCE Class, please click here.  Employees who wish to enroll in CCE classes are put on a waiting list and allowed to enroll if space is available in the class.  Books and other supplies are the responsibility of the employee for both curriculum and CCE classes.
